1 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 eggs (separated)
1 cup milk
¼ cup butter, melted
1lb bacon or country style sausage
12oz shredded cheese, cheddar or colby jack blend

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cook meat and set aside to cool.
2. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. In small bowl or 2 cup liquid measuring cup, mix 1 cup milk, 2 egg yolks (preserving whites to be beat in next step) and ½ cup melted butter. Pour into flour mixture and combine with whisk.
4. Beat egg whites on high until soft peaks form. Fold into batter and set aside.
5. Chop up sausage or bacon.
6. Ladle batter into waffle iron. Sprinkle meat and cheese on top of batter and close lid.
7. Serve with maple syrup.
