4 cups ground crackling
1 large onion
Salt
Oatmeal
Pancake mix

Directions:
Directions:
Put crackling in pan and cover with approx. 6 cups water. Cook onion until done and add salt.

Thicken with oatmeal until pretty thick. Remove from heat and stir in pancake mix until real thick.

Put into casserole dish and chill.

Slice and fry. Good served with syrup or ketchup

This is an oldie. Used to make then when we did our own butchering years ago. Most people won't use this, but the last several generations will recognize.
