1 large onion (chopped)
3 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped)
450 g can of chickpeas.
2 cloves garlic (chopped)
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Cumin powder
2 tbsp Flour
1 tsp Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Drain chickpeas, and place in pan with fresh water.
Combine chickpeas, garlic, onion, coriander, cumin, salt and pepper (to taste) in medium bowl.
Add flour.
Mash chickpeas, ensuring to mix ingredients together. You can also combine ingredients in a food processor. The result have to be as a thick paste, Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a ping pong ball. Slightly flatten.
Fry in oil at 180°c until golden brown (5-7 minutes).

Serving Falafel
The sky is the limit when it comes to serving falafel. It is commonly served in pita bread with
Taboleh salad and tahini sauce or hummus, called a" falafel pita
Tip: This recipe does call for 2 tablespoons of flour, however, if you find your falafel is falling apart you can
use more. Just add a little at time. Egg is also an acceptable binding agent, but only use 1 egg.
