2 cups AP flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup softened butter
1/2 cup milk
4 granny smith apples peeled, cored, cut in 1/4ths
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups water
1/4 cup butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix in 2/3 cup butter, add milk until soft dough forms. Divide dough into 16 mall balls.

Roll out each ball of dough on a floured surface. Place an apple wedge in the center of each piece of dough. Fold the dough around the apple and press it together and put seam side down into a greased 9x13 pan.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, water, remaining butter, and cinnamon over medium/low heat. stir often. After boiling, remove from heat and pour over dumplings.

Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes or until the apples are soft and the dough is golden brown. Baste the dumplings several times while baking.
