1 c. Miracle Whip
1 c. sugar
1 c. warm water
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
4 T. cocoa
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
¼ c. milk
1-2 c. sifted powdered sugar

Caramel Frosting
½ c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
¼ c. milk
1-2 c. powdered sugar

Cake:
Mix Miracle Whip and sugar together. In a separate bowl, mix warm water and baking soda together. Pour sugar mixture over water mixture. Add flour, cocoa, salt, and vanilla. Bake in greased and floured 9" square cake pan at 325º for 45 minutes.

Caramel Frosting:
Melt butter. Add brown sugar. Cook over low heat for 2 min., stirring constantly. Add milk and continue to cook. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat; let cool. Add powdered sugar until right consistency to spread.
