1¼ cups flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup butter
2 eggs
⅓ cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp flour
⅛ tsp salt
⅛ tsp soda
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 jar raspberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar and butter until mixture is like a fine meal.
Press over bottom of lightly greased 9”square pan to make an even layer.
Bake 350º for 20 minutes or just until edges become tinged brown.
Remove from oven and spread jam over the shortbread.
Beat eggs with brown sugar and vanilla until well mixed.
Stir in flour mixed with salt and soda, then nuts. Spoon over jam.
Return to oven and bake 22-25 minutes longer or until set.
Cool in pan then cut into bars.
