Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef
2 cans of corn
1 lb fresh potatoes (mashed)
or two packages of instant mashed potatoes
2-3 garlic cloves
1 cup of finely chopped onions
1 tablespoon of worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon of better than bullion (beef flavor)
1 cup of hot waterº
6 teaspoons of butter
1/2 teaspoon of paprika

Directions:Preheat oven to 325º
Spay baking dish (9x13) with pam or you can use oil.
Put potatoes on to boil (it goes faster when the potatoes are cut into quarters. when they are done (fork tender) drain and mash, add butter and milk to taste. If you use instant mashed follow the directions on the packages. Set aside.
Fry the hamburger till pink is gone. Drain hamburger and put it into the prepared baking dish. Add garlic, onion and worcestershire sauce with hamburger. Next mix the better than bullion with the cup of hot water and stir it until it has disolved, then add it to the hamburger.
Next drain corn and place it on top of the hamburger. Spread the mashed potatoes on top of the corn and cover the corn layer.
Next sprinkle the paprika on the potatoes, not too much...just to make it look nice.
Slice the butter and place it on top of the potatoes.
Cook until the potatoes become lightly brown and you can see the mixture is bubbling under the potatoes. |
