1 loaf French Bread, torn into small pieces
4 c. Milk
3 large Eggs, lightly beaten
2 c. Sugar
1 c. Pecans, toasted (optional)
1½ tbsp. Vanilla
1 teas. Cinnamon
½ teas. Nutmeg

Custard Sauce:
1 c. Sugar
½ c. Butter
½ c. Heavy Whipping Cream
½ teas. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place bread in a lightly greased 9x13 baking dish.
Pour milk over bread.
Stir eggs and next 5 ingredients into bread mixture.
Bake at 325º for 40 minutes or until firm.
Serve with custard sauce.

For custard sauce:
Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Cool and stir in vanilla.
