Small onion
Olive oil 1-2 Tblsp
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder (or add 1-2 cloves diced garlic)
1 small can tomato sauce & 1 can water
1 small can tomato paste
1 large can 28 oz. diced, whole or crushed tomatoes
3 Tblsp brown sugar
1 Tblsp worchestershire sauce
Juice of 1/2 lemon or 2 Tblsp lemon juice
1 Tblsp chili powder
1 1/2 lb. ground beef and 1/2 lb hot Italian sausage

Directions:

Brown onion in olive oil. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder or garlic.
Add tomato sauce, water, paste and large can of tomatoes.
Add brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, chili powder . Let simmer 30 minutes at least. Either make meatballs or crumble meat and brown then add to sauce. Simmer 30 minutes. You can add can of mushrooms and 1 tsp oregano.

Also, I’ve fixed in instant pot. Brown meat and onions on sauté. Then add rest of ingredients. Set for about 20 minutes. Warmup takes approximately 15 -20 minutes.
