2 ⅔ cups white sugar
⅔ cup white corn syrup
½ cup water

2 egg whites, beaten
½ tsp vanilla
½ cup chopped nuts
½ cup chopped maraschino cherries
Directions:
Directions:
Cook first 3 ingredients to 255º (candy thermometer hard ball stage)
Cool slightly. Beat egg whites until stiff, add vanilla, gradually add syrup, beating until mixture holds its shape. Stir in nuts & cherries & pour into buttered 9" pan.
