Personal Notes:
I got this recipe from my sister, Rene, when we were both young brides in 1977 (20 and 24 years old). She now says that it is not her recipe and she doesn't have a banana bread recipe. It is delicious no matter where it came from!
I have made this bread many times. I like the tea size loaves, they seem to not get eaten so fast! Many years I give them to friends and neighbors for their Christmas treat. If a banana gets black and bad looking, we toss it in the freezer. When there are enough bananas there, I make this bread. Let the bananas thaw a bit, in a bowl. Open one end and squeeze the other end like you would for toothpaste. The banana will pop out!
