2 c. shortening
1-1/2 c. white sugar
1-1/2 c. brown sugar      
2 tsp. salt 
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
4  eggs         
4-1/2 c. flour           
2 c. chocolate chips 
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar & eggs. Add dry ingredients and mix well, add chocolate chips, and chopped nuts if desired. Drop by cookie scoop onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes.
