Moraccan Empanades Recipe

lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
3 0z. cream cheese (soft)
⅓ c. apricot preserves
c finely chopped carrot
tsp. cumin, tsp, coriander and cayenne pepper, salt
3 sheets pie pastry
1 large err yolk

cup apricot preserves
cup chili sauce

425 for 12-15 min.

Cook beef, onion 5-7 min.
Stir cream cheese, preserves, carrot and seasonings (cool slightly)
Roll out pastry 40 circles
1 tbsp. of mix on half of circle
Fold other half over top and use egg yolk to help seal edges
Put on cookie sheet 2 inches apart and bake

Warm sauce in microwave til warm and serve for empanades
