1 Cup self rising corn meal
1 Cup flour
1 Tsp. baking powder
1/4 to 1/2 Cup Sugar (Kay says 3/4 cup)
1 Egg
Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Add milk, eggs and beat. Put black skillet in oven with 1 tsp. bacon grease and let it get really hot. Pour hot bacon grease into the mixture and pour in skillet. Bake at 425 º for 25 minutes.

Granny's tip: 1. Thin with water 2. Sprinkle corn meal in hot skillet. 3. After 25 minutes of cooking - turn biscuits over and cook another 5 minutes.
