1 stick unsalted butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup plus 1 tablespoon maple syrup
2 cups flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cups chopped pecans
Icing Optional
4 tablespoons maple syrup
⅔ cup powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350º. Cream butter and sugar, until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg, mix well. Add syrup and mix again. Add dry ingredients, mix well. Add pecans. Chill for at least 1 hour in refrigerator. Place spoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake 12-14 minutes. Once cookies have cooled, mix together the syrup and powdered sugar. Drizzle on cooled cookie.
