1 C. Butter, not oleo
1½ C. Chopped onions
2 C. Chopped celery
2 pkg chicken noodle soup mix
¾ C. Chopped green pepper
2 small cans or 1 large can mushrooms
1 pkg. onion soup mix
5-6 C. Water
½ tsp sage
½ tsp thyme
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
2 C. Raw rice
Dash onion & garlic salt or powder

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onion, celery, rice, pepper and mushrooms in butter until rice is browned. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer approximately 25 minutes until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. Remove from heat and let stand 10-15 minutes. Add additional butter to season (2 TBSP). Place in casserole; cover and put in oven for 10 minutes at 375º. Remove cover for last 5 minutes.
