"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1 onion finely chopped
1 clove garlic minced or crushed
1/2 c breadcrumbs
1 egg
1/3 c whole milk
generous salt and pepper

Creme Sauce: (I double this and cook 1/2 with meatballs)

dash oil
1/3 c butter
1/3 c flour
2/3 c vegetable broth
2/3 c beef broth
2/3 c cream
2 t soy sauce
1 t Dijon mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Meatballs: Combine beef and pork and mix with your fingers to break up lumps. Add finely chopped onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg and mix thoroughly. Add milk and season well with salt and pepper.

Shape into small round balls. Place on a clean plate, cover and store in the fridge for 2 hours (this will help them hold their shape while cooking).

In a frying pan, heat oil on medium heat. When hot, gently add meatballs and brown on all sides.

When browned, add to an ovenproof dish and cover. Place in a hot oven at 350 and cook for 30 minutes.

Cream sauce: Melt butter in a pan. Whisk in flour and stir for 2 minutes. Add vegetable and beef stock and continue to stir. Add cream, soy sauce and Dijon. Bring to simmer and allow sauce to thicken.

Serve with your mashed or boiled potatoes. Enjoy!
