Personal Notes:
This recipe is from one of my favorite restaurants of all time...Stephenson's Apple Farm near Kansas City. Several recipes of the now closed restaurant were featured in the Better Homes and Garden Famous Foods from Famous Places.

My friend, Jane McNally, and I ate there a lot when we were living at Whiteman AFB in Missouri. She gave me the book, and it has been a longtime treasure. Because of our military travels, I was able to eat at a number of the famous restaurants featured.
