5 large sweet Vidalia onions
1 stick butter
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
1 sleeve crisp buttery crackers (i.e. Ritz)

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and slice onions into thin rings. Saute in butter until limp or opaque. Poor half of onions into 1 1/2 quart casserole dish; cover with Parmesan cheese, then crushed crackers. Repeat layers and bake uncovered at 325 degrees until golden brown, abot 30 minutes.
