russet potatoes
s & p
nutmeg
2 cups heavy whipping cream
Gruyre cheese
2 T. minced garlic
butter

Directions:
Directions:
Pour half of the cream in saucepan. Add garlic, s & P, nutmeg. Put in the sliced potatoes and add remaining cream. Mix well and don't totally dover. Put over medium heat stir well while cooking. Simmer until cream is thickened.
In baking dish coat with butter to prevent sticking.
Taste cream and adjust seasonings. Transfer to baking dish with a slotted spoon. Pour some of the cream over all.
Grate Gruyre cheese and sprinkle over potatoes covering surface.
Place dish on cookie sheet and bake at 425* about 30 minutes. Reduce to 350* and bake another 20 minutes.
Let cool slightly before serving.
