2 ½ cups sugar
5 tbsp flour
4 tbsp butter
3 cups milk
4 large eggs separated
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix in large saucepan. 2 cups of the sugar along with the flour. Add butter, milk, salt and slightly beaten egg yolks.
Place over med heat and cook until slightly thickened.
Place remaining sugar in heavy skillet over medium heat until it has bright brown color. Add first mixture after browned. Stir constantly until smooth creamy and thick.
Remove from heat; pour into 2-9inch baked pastry shells top with meringue. Bake at 350° until golden brown.
