1 cup corn meal
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup cream corn
1/4 cup onion (chopped)
1/2 cup green bell pepper
1/4 cup red bell pepper
1 tbsp. jalapeno (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 8x8 inch pan or a 12 inch iron skillet. In a large mixing bowl mix all ingredients together. Once mixed well, pour into the greased pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. When done, remove from oven and sprinkle a small amount of cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese) and return to oven for 3 minutes, just long enough to melt the butter.
