1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 small onion chopped
1 egg
1/2 Tbsp. parsley
1 tsp. curry - optional
salt and pepper
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. water
sauce-
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine mince (hamburger), breadcrumbs (my mother often substituted crackers or oatmeal), onions, curry powder, salt, pepper, parsley and lightly beaten egg into a bowl and mix until well combined. Add milk and water and continue mixing until combined. Shape into a loaf and place in a greased baking dish. Bake 30 minutes at 350º. Remove from oven, carefully pour off any surface fat. Pour sauce over meatloaf, return to oven and bake another 30-45 minutes basting with sauce.
Sauce: combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a slow boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

This was served at Family Home Evening in Australia-by Barbara Williams what fond memories we have of senior couples getting together- sometimes as many as 15 couples- and enjoying a meal, visit and a lesson. 500 Grams of mince? (ground beef) Converted recipe follows:
