6 egg whites
2 c. sugar
2 c. crushed saltine crackers
¾ c. chopped nuts (your preference)
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º
Beat egg whites to stiff peaks. Gradually add sugar and vanilla. Fold in crackers and nuts. Spread into well greased 13x9 pan. Bake 20-25 minutes, until firm and dry. Cool completely and top with your preferred pie filling.

First time I had this, Don's mom made it for a dinner we had. This is great for summer potlucks with fruit and whipped topping, or a replacement crust for your favorite pies. I like to top with cherry pie filling.
