4 ounces dried beef, torn 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons flour 1 cup milk ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Hot buttered toast
Cook dried beef in butter until edges frizzle. Push meat to one side; blend flour into butter. Add milk all at once. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and bubbly. Gradually add dried beef, Worchestershire sauce, and dash pepper. Spoon over toast.
OPTIONAL: brown hamburger meat instead of dried beef.
