6 Tbsp. Sesame seeds
12 Tbsp. Hoisin sauce
6 Tbsp. Sesame oil
12 Green onions
4 c. Flour
2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
2 Eggs (large)
Kosher salt to taste (needs salt)
Peanut Oil

Directions:
Directions:
Heat a frying pan without the oil and toast sesame seeds until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

Mix the hoisin sauce with the sesame oil, then slice the green onions.

Whisk the flour, cornstarch, egg, sesame seeds, ⅔ of the green onion, salt, and 2 cups of water to form a smooth batter.

In a frying pan, heat 2 Tbsp. of the peanut oil and spoon batter into 3-inch circles. Cook in batches using medium heat until golden brown and crisp. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more oil as needed.

Garnish with the remaining green onions and serve with the hoisin dipping sauce.

Amounts are doubled from original recipe. Pancakes do not have to be large. For a party, we make them about 2 to 3 inches in diameter and triple the sauce amounts from the original recipe.
