1 cup Butter
1 1/2 cups Sugar
3 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 1/2 cups Flour
2 tsps. Cream of Tarter
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and add sugar gradually.

Beat until light and fluffy.

Add eggs, one at a time beating after each one.

Add dry ingredients and mix well.

Chill 3-4 hrs.

Roll out and Cut into shapes of your choice and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375º for 6-8 minutes. Cool and decorate as you wish.


Note: If dough is too sticky dust rolling surface with a little flour when rolling and cutting.

This recipe easily can be doubled or triple. My Mom made these every Christmas for as long as I can remember. I made these each year when our son's were growing up.
