1/2 c. shortening or butter
1-1/2 c. sugar
1 c. mashed bananas
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º Cream shortening, sugar and add bananas, wet ingredients and blend, then add dry ingredients and blend again. Pour batter into a 9 X 13" greased cake pan. Bake about 25 minutes. Frosting is just butter, vanilla & powdered sugar with enough hot water for consistency. Sometimes I add cream cheese.
