7 oz Cold, unsalted butter
2 oz Sugar
4 fl.oz. Buttermilk
8 oz Sour Cream
1½ tsp Salt
1½ tsp vanilla
1 lb All-Purpose Flour
1 oz Baking powder
8g Ground cinnamon
3g grated orange zest

Powdered sugar as needed for finishing.

Orange glaze icing

½ Cup Powdered sugar
2 Tbsp light corn syrup
1 tsp orange juice or vanilla
1 tsp water
½ Orange zested

* for best results you can chill your mixing bowl in the fridge for 15 minutes*

**Pre-Heat oven to 375ºF**

1. Cut the butter into cubes. Set aside in the fridge.

2. Whisk together the sugar, buttermilk, sour cream, salt and vanilla until smooth. Set aside in the fridge.

3. Put the flour, cinnamon and baking powder in the chilled mixer bowl. Place the cubed butter on top. Mix on low speed with a paddle attachment until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Or may use your hands.

4. Add the buttermilk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix very briefly, or until just combined. Mix in the orange zest.

5. Divide the dough into two uniform pieces. On a lightly floured surface roll each piece of dough into a thick disk.

6. Cut each disk like a pizza into 6 wedges each. Position each wedge about 2inches apart on a parchment lined baking tray sprinkle with sugar. Bake for
18-24 minutes or until lightly golden.


Glaze

1. Mix all ingredients together. Brush on or drizzle onto scones right when they come out the oven. Enjoy!!
