50 caramels (1 bag)
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 pkg German chocolate cake mix
3/4 cup melted margarine
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup chopped nuts
1 - 12oz. pkg chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Melt caramels and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Set aside.

Line a 9 x 13” pan with foil. Grease. Mix cake mix, melted margarine, milk & nuts. Pat 1/3 of mixture into prepared pan . (Wet your hands first to work with patting the mixture--it's really sticky.) Bake 6 minutes at 350. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Pour melted caramel mixture over chips. Pat rest of cake mixture (2/3 of the batter) over caramel and bake
15 - 18 minutes at 350.

Chill before cutting. You can lift the foil right out of the pan; peel off foil and then cut into squares. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
