2 c. pinto beans
1 c. white beans
1 c. split peas
1 Ham bone or ham hock, or left over ham





















Directions:
Directions:
Place beans in large bowl and cover with water. Let soak overnight. In morning drain off water. Add approximately 9 c. water and cook on stove for about 2 hours. Cook until ham falls off bone and beans are soft .

Depending on the saltiness of the ham, will determine how much more salt you will have to add

The soup is better the 2nd and 3rd day. The split peas will disintigrate and become part of the broth.
