1 quart sliced cucumbers; washed and sliced
1 large onion; sliced
1½ cups sugar
1½ cups vinegar
2 teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon turmeric
2 teaspoons mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Pour into sterilized jars, making certain liquid covers cucumbers and onions, seal. They are ready to eat in 2-3 days. Marion Nichol at the age of 95 was still making these when she gave the recipe to Nan. The recipe is now over one hundred years old!
