beat the heavy cream in a metal bowl until firm peaks are formed. Add sour cream and confectionery sugar. Maybe more sugar to taste.

Grandmother and Ava HAVE to have clotted cream on their scones. When we were late to the Alaska cruise we boarded and were the only ones on board because everyone was off on excursions. Ava and Wyatt got scones at the buffet with huge globs of clotted cream. They were sold on cruising after that!!!

I cant tell by their reactions if this is a good recipe...its quick. 3 days quicker than the norm.
