My Favorite Pound Cake Recipe

1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 lb brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup milk
5 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup pecans (chopped)

Icing Glaze:
4 cups confectioners sugar
1/3 to 1/2 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk. Blend pecans in by hand. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake for 70 to 75 minutes.

Mix icing ingredients together. Once cake cools, drizzle glaze over it.
