Easy Red Beans and Rice Recipe

2 c. water
1 c. rice uncooked
1 pat butter
dash of salt

1 (16 oz.) pkg. Polska Kielbasa or Andouille Sausage, sliced into ╝" pieces
1 onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained
1 can diced tomatoes
1 tsp. dried oregano
salt and pepper

Place in bowl, water, rice, butter and salt. Cover with saran wrap and cook on defrost in microwave for 30 minutes.
In a large skillet brown sausage over low heat, 5 minutes.
Stir in onion, green pepper, and garlic. SautÚ till tender.
Pour in beans and tomatoes with juice.
Season with oregano and salt and pepper.
Simmer uncovered 20 minutes.
Serve over rice.
