Soft Molasses Cookies Recipe

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 c. sour milk (1 c. milk-1 tbsp. lemon juice)
4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
tsp. cloves
tsp. nutmeg
2-6 c. all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 375.
Cream butter, add sugar and molasses. Mix well.
Combine 2 c. flour with all other dry ingredients.
Add alternately to butter mixture with sour milk. Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
Roll out and cut into shapes. Sprinkle sugar on top.
Bake 8 minutes or a little less.
