5 T. cocoa
1½ c. sugar
5 T. flour
1½ c. milk
3 beaten egg yolks (save whites for meringue)
Lump of butter
pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Put everything in top of double boiler except lump of butter and cook until thick. Add lump of butter. Cool and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Pour into pie crust. Top with whipped cream or meringue.

Top with meringue: In a large glass or metal bowl, whip egg whites until foamy. Add powdered sugar gradually, and continue to whip until stiff peaks form. Spread meringue over pie, sealing the edges at the crust.

Bake in 350º preheated oven for 10 minutes or until meringue is golden brown.
