1 pkg (12 oz) cranberries
1 cup water
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 C. Sugar
1 C. White vinegar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp celery seeds
2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground allspice
½ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp pepper

1. In microwave- safe 3qt casserole dish, combine cranberries, water, and onion. Microwave on HIGH 10 minutes, or until boiling. In blender or food processor, purée half of cranberry mixture, return to casserole.

2. Stir in remaining ingredients. Microwave on HIGH stirring occasionally, 18 to 25 minutes, or until slightly thickened. (The mixture will thicken on cooling). Cool to room temperature.

3. Pour cranberry mixture into four sterilized ½ pint jars, dividing evenly; cover; refrigerate. Store in refrigerator no longer than one month. Use as accompaniment to fried chicken, pork chops, or roast lamb. Makes 4 (½ pint) jars.
