Ingredients:  
1-2 tsp active dry yeast
c sugar
1 egg
3 plain flour
tsp salt
c evaporated milk
⅛ c shortening (Crisco)

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle yeast over water & stir to dissolve in large bowl. Add sugar, salt, egg, & milk. Blend with mixer. Add 2 c flour, beat till smooth. Add shortening, beat in rest of flour. Cover & chill overnight.

Roll a small amount of dough to ⅛ to inch thick on floured surface. Cut into squares & deep fry until brown. Drain & sprinkle with powdered sugar.
