1 large onion
1 clove garlic
cup olive oil
1 #2 can tomatoes
1 large can tomato paste
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
cup water
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion
4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
cup Parmesan cheese
dash salt
2 cups milk
2 egg yolks
1 package Mozzarella cheese slices
1 pound box lasagne noodles

Chop onion & garlic; saute in oil. Add tomatoes, paste, bay leaves, salt, pepper, & water. Stir, add beef in small pieces. Cover & cook over low heat for 1 hour. Chop onion fine, saute in butter (2 minutes). Mix in flour until smooth, add Parmesan cheese & salt. Gradually stir in milk, cook over low heat until consistency of heavy cream. Beat yolk slightly, mix in a little sauce, then add to cheese mixture and cook 10 minutes. Remove. Cook noodles. Layer noodles, sauce, cheese in greased baking dish. Top with Mozzarella cheese. Bake 20 minutes at 325 then broil until bubbly.
