2 cups self-rising flour
1 and 1/3 cup granulated sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon plus a little more for top
1 stick butter/margarine, melted
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs, separating yolks
nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Mix flour, 1 cup sugar and cinnamon. Add melted butter and oil. Add egg yolks and beat together. Spread into 2 cookie pans. Beat egg whites. Spread over dough. Mix 1/3 cup sugar a little cinnamon, and nuts. Sprinkle over egg whites. Cut oven down to 250º and bake for 20 - 25 minutes. Let cool and cut into small squares.

These are my favorite cookies. Mrs. Bert made them for all occasions. I always got to bring home the leftovers and none would go to waste. I am not sure anyone can make these as good as she does.
