1 c all-purpose flour

1 1/2 c sugar, divided

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt, divided

3 tbsp butter, melted

4 c fresh blackberries or frozen blackberries, thawed

1 tbsp confectioners' sugar

1 tbsp cornstarch

1/2 c milk

1 c boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Mix flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt in a large bowl. Add butter, mix well.

Gently sir blackberries into flour mixture. Grease a large baking dish or casserole.

Mix remaining sugar, confectioners' sugar and cornstarch in a bowl. Stir in milk and remaining salt. Spoon over berry mixture.

Pour boiling water over top; do not stir. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
