3 c fresh strawberries, halved or frozen whole strawberries

1 large Macintosh apple, peeled, cored, chopped

1/4 c sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Combine strawberries, apple, sugar, vanilla and flour in a large bowl; mix well. Spread mixture into a shallow baking dish; set aside.

Sprinkle crumb topping evenly over fruit mixture. Bake until topping is lightly browned, about 25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before serving.

1/2 c all-purpose flour

1/2 c rolled oats

1/2 c sliced almonds

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar

2 tbsp butter

Directions:

For topping, combine flour, oats, almonds, nutmeg and brown sugar in a medium bowl.

Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut butter into topping mixture until coarse crumbs form.
