"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Laura Johnson Martin

4 cups mashed sweet potatoes (4 or 5 medium sizes) I cook
them in the skins and then peel them.
cup sugar 1 stick butter or margarine
1 pk miniature marshmallows or 1 small jar of marshmallow
3 eggs
cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 stick butter or margarine
to 1 cup of pecans (diced)

Mix potatoes & butter then mix in marshmallows or
marshmallow cream. Add other ingredients.
Add cinnamon & nutmeg if you like it or you can leave it out. I
just guess at how much to put and use more cinnamon than
nutmeg. Mix well and pour in a 9 x 13 casserole dish.

Mix brown sugar & flour together. Cut butter in pieces and mix
with sugar/flour mixture. Mix in the pecan pieces and sprinkle
over top of sweet potatoes. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
You can half this recipe to make a smaller amount.
