2 oranges, quartered
1 lemon, sliced
1 pack prunes (orange flavor is great here)
4 ounce bottle of cinnamon stick
lb raisins
1 t whole or ground cardomom
1 t whole cloves
4 cans of beer
1 c brown sugar
1 gallon of dry red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Put all fruit and spice ingredients into a stockpot. Cover with 4 cans of beer and simmer for 20 minutes. turn off burner and add sugar and wine. Keep cover on pot and dont cook on the stove anymore. Heat up one cup at a time.

This was always served at Christmas. Usually as we prepared our Swedish Christmas Eve dinner.
