1 3-pound beef roast (I prefer chuck roast)
½ Riley's All Purpose Seasoning (or meat seasoning of choice
½" thick onion slices to cover top of roast (2 or 3 generally is all you need)
1 family size can cream of mushroom soup
1 18-oz can Heinz savory beef gravy.

Directions:
Spray a skillet with Pam and heat it up. (Spray your crock pot as well.) Rub the seasoning on all sides of the roast. Then sear the roast in the hot skillet on all sides. Already the house smells heavenly!

Mix together the cream of mushroom soup and the beef gravy, and pour half into the bottom of the crock pot. Put the seared roast in the crock pot, put the slices of onion on top of the roast, and then pour the rest of the gravy mixture over.

Cook on low for 8 hours or more in the crock pot.

Personal Notes:
If you want to you can thicken up the gravy with a little cornstarch.
