• 2 - 16 oz containers of Large curd cottage cheese liquid drained (or dry small curd cottage cheese if you can find) • 6 cups of sifted flour 1 1b of butter

Directions:Method • With a mixer, cream softened butter and flour. • Add in cottage cheese after liquid is drained and mix • Spilt up into 4 pieces • Cover with plastic and refrigerate at least 2 hours Roll dough out on floured board and cut into squares. • Fill with jam apricot and raspberry was always the favorite. • Pinch 2 opposite ends together to form the cookies. • Bake at 350 degrees on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper for 10-15 or until it turns golden in color |

Notes: Grandmother's delicious apricot and raspberry cookies In the 1940s my parent's neighbors from Hungary gave them these delicious cookies for a holiday gift and also shared their delicious recipe. They are an Eastern European Kiffles (also spelled kifli) are delicate Hungarian cookies made with cream or cottage cheese dough and filled with various jams, jellies or pastry fillings.
