Meat Loaf


Ingredients:

2 lb Ground Beef
1 c Milk
2 Eggs, slightly beaten (1 egg if beef is fat)
1 c Cracker Crumbs
2 tbsp Butter, softened
¼ tsp ea Seasoned Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder

Mix all ingredients together until well mixed. Put in loaf pan or 9x13 dish.
 

Meat Loaf Sauce (Topping)


Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
½ c Vinegar
½ c Ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 c Green Peppers, chopped
1 c Onion, chopped
1 sm can Mushrooms, drained, or
8 oz Fresh Mushrooms, sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Mix vinegar, ketchup Worcestershire and brown sugar and set aside. Finely chop onion and green peppers and set aside. Drain mushrooms and set aside.
You may substitute 8oz fresh mushrooms for the pre-cooked mushrooms. If using fresh mushrooms, slice mushrooms and sauté in 2 tbsp of butter.

Bake meatloaf at 350º for 30 minutes. Remove loaf from oven and cover with chopped onions, green peppers, and mushrooms and pour sauce over all.
Put back in oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
