1 cup sugar
2 tbs. soft butter
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
3 cups flour
1 cup mashed bananas (about 3 ripe banans)
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Grease a loaf pan 9x5x3" (I use butter to grease the pan)
Mix sugar, butter and egg thoroughly
Stir in milk
In a separate bowl blend flour, baking powder and salt
Stir into wet mixture
Blend in nuts
Pour into pan
Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until toothpick stuck into center comes out clean
(Crack in top of loaf if normal)
Cool in pan 10 minutes then turn out on cookie rack and let cool thoroughly before slicing.

It may take longer to cook check at 60 minutes and cook longer if necessary.
You may need to run a knife around the bread before turning it out of the loaf pan.
