Mrs. Grass chicken noodle soup mix or Bear Creek
8 cups of water, if you use chicken broth use low sodium or it will be too salty
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 tbs butter
1 to 2 cups cooked chopped chicken or one can 12 or 10 oz. white meat chicken
1/2 cup frozen mixed carrots and peas if desired
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

In 4 quart saucepan or Dutch oven melt butter add onion and celery and stir until crisp tender.
Add 8 cups water or chicken broth and soup mix
Bring to a boil
Add chopped cooked chicken if using canned chicken break up with a fork
Add frozen peas and carrots (optional)
Reduce heat, cover pot and simmer 20 minutes or longer
